i love how...

- without being asked, my grandpa switched channels from his chinese drama to the laker's game when all the cousins started to arrive at his house
- my dad said, "c'mon, golden bear!" when i didn't get a joke he said (it was also during the rose bowl so he was in his competitive school mode)
- jenn louie drove to my house at 11:30 to sleepover because i was bored one night
- my cousin brett sent me music to listen to after i said i didn't like anything that was currently on the radio
- my cousin kyle called me from the ortho office when he got his braces off since i kept telling him that he was gonna have to wait another 2 weeks
-  i casually mentioned that i needed a new battery for my laptop and my dad ordered one the next day
-  core retreat was really a retreat and i got to spend so much time just haning out with michelle, jason and angel
-  i finally got to hang out with david chang this winter break
-  rarely talking all semester, rach ny and i can just walk around the park and chat for an hour
- my sister is so werid
- my mom threateded to send me back to berkeley and called me a"this useless one" because i failed to pick her up from work...twice.
- driving to jenn louie's house is second nature
- michelle and i realized that i have the same haircut as when i was 3
- my cousins, mom and aunt could just sit around the table looking at old photos and reminiscing of childhood memories
- my aunt got me and my sister survivor buffs
- i could help my cousin with his geometry homework
- i read two books this break and thoroughly enjoyed both

a poem i wrote for michelle wong...

What should I do?

So much data, what should I do?

Anova?  T-test – one sample or two?

If there’s more than two levels, then Anova it is

Calculate the F-ratio like a statistics wiz

That’s the variance between over the variance within

To reject the null a value greater than one is the min.

But if you’re comparing a sample to a population

And trying to see if you have an aberration

Using a one-way t-test is best, you’ll see

Especially when you don’t know the population SD.

And if you’re comparing one sample to the next

Don’t let the terms ‘dependent’ or ‘independent’ get you perplexed.

When the comparison distribution has a mean of zero,

A within subject design is your hero.

But if you must guess the means and SDs of both the control and experimental groups,

Use a between subject design so you don’t end up saying “oops!”

...and for 5 extra credit points in my psych class. =]
